Appeal to President Bush to Visit Holodomor Monument in Kyiv
On March 31-April 1, President George W. Bush will make his first official visit to
Ukraine. Considering the fact that this year, the worldwide Ukrainian community will
mark the 75th anniversary of the Ukrainian Genocide (Holodomor) of 1932-1933,
which claimed the lives of 7-10 million innocent Ukrainians, the Ukrainian National
Information Service (UNIS) urges the entire Ukrainian American community to contact
President Bush to request that he lay a wreath at the Holodomor Memorial in Kyiv.
For your convenience, please find a sample letter to send to the White House.
Since there is little time before the President departs for Ukraine, we request that you
directly e-mail or phone the request to the White House at the following - Comments
