
75th anniversary of the 1932-33 Famine-Genocide in Ukraine
We commemorate this year the 75th anniversary of the 1932-33 Famine-Genocide in
Ukraine. The Ukrainian Association of North Carolina is sponsoring a series of
events to commemorate this tragic event. The program of events includes:
- A Holodomor exhibit at the Chapel Hill Public Library, to be held on September
2-10, 2008.
- A series of academic events organized in collaboration with the Center for
Slavic, Eurasian and East European Studies at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill, to be held on September 12, 2008, preceded by a
Holodomor Art and Book Exhibition at the UNC Global Education Center (see

specially would like to ask you to try to attend the following events:
- September 12, 5:30-7:15 p.m. Traditional Ukrainian Dinner, at the UNC Global
